About

About Our Clinic

At Halton & Mississauga RAAM Clinic, our dedicated team strives to provide the most comprehensive, accessible, timely, and individualized patient care available in the addiction treatment field.  We are passionate about helping our patients get their lives back and reach their recovery goals.

Our clinic has a friendly, compassionate and non-judgmental approach, with a dedicated desire to support our patients throughout their journey of recovery.  We truly understand the disease of addiction, and take a harm-reduction approach by meeting people where they are at, and helping them get to where they want to go.  We recognize that relapse is a common part of the process, and we warmly welcome all patients back no matter how they are doing.

About RAAM Clinics

RAAM stands for “Rapid Access Addiction Medicine”.  RAAM Clinics were first established in 2015 as part of the META:PHI initiative to offer quick and low-barrier access to addiction medicine care without needing an appointment or formal referral.  Due to the outstanding success of this model, RAAM Clinics have begun to expand across Ontario and beyond.  Halton RAAM Clinic in Oakville opened on January 21, 2019, marking the first RAAM clinic in the Halton Region. We subsequently expanded to serve Milton and Georgetown. On October 15, 2019 our Mississauga RAAM Clinic in Clarkson became the first RAAM clinic in the City of Mississauga. In early 2020 we established a presence in Toronto in an ongoing effort to expand our services to people seeking treatment, with subsequent expansion into Burlington in early 2021.  We added a beautiful and easily accessed flagship location in central Mississauga in the spring of 2023, and expanded into Hamilton & Acton in late 2023.

Although some RAAM Clinics provide time-limited care, Halton & Mississauga RAAM Clinic also offers the option of longer-term follow-up care to all of our patients where appropriate.  Services include assessment, medication treatment, brief counselling, and connection to community services such as addiction counselling with our partners at Halton ADAPT.

Our Team

Our Clinical Team is lead by an experienced and certified Addiction Medicine Physician, supported by six highly-trained clinicians (five Physician Assistants, and a Registered Nurse), who together deliver the latest evidence-based medical approaches in addiction treatment across the full range of substance use disorders.  Every patient is under the care of a medical doctor.  Overall Clinic operations are managed by an experienced Clinic Manager with a background in addiction counselling, and supported by a team of five outstanding Clinic Coordinators, who work hard to keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a friendly and welcoming entry point to our services.
