Our services are 100% covered by OHIP, and all patients are under the care of doctors with expertise in addiction medicine.

We offer same day walk-in service, with immediate access to Methadone and Suboxone programs for opioid addiction, and medication-assisted treatment for addiction involving Alcohol or other substances.  We provide both short-term stabilization and longer-term follow-up care.  Patients are also connected with addiction counseling and other supports to assist in their recovery.

COVID-19 Update

The Halton & Mississauga RAAM Clinic remains open to serve patients.  In order to reduce potential exposure, our clinicians will be seeing patients strictly via telemedicine.  As usual, our multiple clinicians and locations with extensive hours allow for very short wait times and avoidance of crowded waiting rooms which is all the more relevant at this time.

Effective immediately, clinical activities at our head office at Oakville CMHA (1540 Cornwall Rd, Unit 102) are now temporarily relocated across the street to the clinic space at Cornwall Pharmacy (1525 Cornwall Rd, Unit 18).  Our head office hours remain the same, aside from our current location opening at 9:00 am on Mondays (instead of 8:30 am).

Our other locations (Oakville Kerr, Milton, Georgetown, Mississauga Clarkson, Toronto Oakwood, and Toronto Parkdale) are operating at the usual addresses and hours.  On site staff have been instructed regarding sterilization of surfaces.

We are continuing to accept walk-in patients during our clinic hours.  We hope that you all remain well and healthy during this challenging time.

Our Services

Canada is in the midst of an opioid epidemic, with devastating effects on individuals, families, and our communities.  Overdose deaths are continuing to rise.  Opioids include heroin, prescription pain medications such as codeine, morphine, oxycodone (Percocet, OxyContin), and hydromorphone (Dilaudid).  We are seeing the rise of extremely potent and deadly opioids such as fentanyl and carfentanil.  Fortunately, highly effective and life-saving medications are available which treat withdrawal and rapidly stabilize opioid addiction to allow people to feel normal again and break the cycle of dependence.  Halton & Mississauga RAAM Clinic provides immediate access to Methadone and Suboxone treatment programs to allow patients get their lives back…

Alcohol addiction is widespread, progressive, and often goes unrecognized and untreated. This eventually leads to health, relational, occupational, financial, or other problems.  Effective anti-craving medications exist which can help people reduce or stop their consumption of alcohol. Our doctors at the Halton & Mississauga RAAM Clinic are experienced in the use of these medications, and will help determine the best treatment plan based on each patient’s unique goals and health situation.

Other Substances

Medication-assisted treatment options are available to assist with the problematic use of other substances including stimulants (cocaine, methamphetamine), cannabis, and tobacco/nicotine.  We also provide expert guidance for patients interested in tapering off sedative-hypnotic medications, such as benzodiazepines and zopiclone.

Access our services from 5 convenient locations across Halton (Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown) and Mississauga.
